This application is designed for individuals interested in learning, memorizing, and reciting the Vishnu Sahasranamam. It is accessible on mobile devices, tablets, and via the website www.vishnusahasranamam.com.

Mytili Jagannathan, a high school student at GIIS, acquired knowledge of the Vishnu Sahasranamam at age 12. Mytili has contributed to this app by recording audio clips for learning purposes, as well as a full recitation version.

This app facilitates the learning process by allowing users to: 
a) Independently learn line by line without requiring external assistance 
b) Study at their preferred time 
c) Utilize the convenience of mobile phones (and web) for learning 
d) Have the flexibility to replay content as needed for memorization. Additionally, there is an option for learners to recite along with highlighted text.

About Vishnu Sahasranamam:
Translated as "the thousand names of Vishnu," the Vishnu Sahasranamam comprises a list of 1,000 names of Vishnu, a prominent deity in Hinduism and the supreme God for Vaishnavas. It is considered one of the most sacred and frequently recited stotras in Hinduism.

Adherents of the Sahasranama assert that its recitation leads to unwavering peace of mind, liberation from stress, and eternal knowledge. The Vishnu Sahasranama commences with six fundamental questions exploring the greatness of Vishnu.

Bhisma asserts that chanting the Vishnu Sahasranama—a compilation of the thousand names of Vishnu, who represents the all-encompassing Supreme Being—assuages all sorrows. The significance of the Vishnu Sahasranam is substantiated by six key aspects that underline its importance.</p>
